My husband and I visited here for a meal on Sat 6th Oct this year. This is one of our fav restaurants in Windsor and again we had a great time there.
We had booked for 6.45pm as if you are seated between 6 - 7pm,you can have a 2 course set menu for £11.90 or 3 course for £14.90.Very good value for Windsor. There's a choice of 5/6 starters/mains and deserts with this offer.Of course, you can still order of the A La Carte menu if you so wish.
I had tomato/mozzerella/avacado salad for starter and a pork cutlet with paprika sauce and veg for main,no desert and my hubby had baby squid to start, plaice in a mustard sauce with veg and banoffee pie for desert. We also had a bottle of cider, pint of beer,1 Irish Coffee and 1 normal coffee.2 types of bread and butter were served also when we were seated.
The total cost was £44.00 which I thought was very reasonable for nice filling food and good service. As someone mentioned in a previous review,it's not very French anymore which is abit of a shame. It's seems abit Polish now, with some Polish dishes on menu,a Polish Chef and sum of the waitresses were Polish.I havn't got a prob with this at all,but it is supposed to be a French/English bistro.Even Polish music was playing whilst it used to be French a while back.
Not put us off thou,as still great value for money and I don't care who serves me,just would like a few more French inspired meals back on the menu. When we arrived it was fairly empty, but was packed out as we left,so it is a very popular place in Windsor with tourists and locals.
We look forward to visiting there again soon in the future......
