“Ok if your a tourist”

Bit pricey, Coffee is what you'd expect, convenient location next to tourist attraction. No character but it was a rainy day.

“Good coffee!”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Considering this is a chain, we enjoyed a really nice coffee here. First time ever in an Esquires, we stopped for a quick cuppa on a beautiful day. The shop has large windows which come down to knee-high, so you get a great view of the high street and all the very nice cars going by and it's not noisy because the cars move slowly along there, and it's fun to look at the Crooked House across the road or the Castle further down the street as life walks by. As it was warm, the windows were open so it was even more pleasant. The staff were courteous and friendly. The cakes looked good, but we didn't try them and we weren't ready for lunch yet. The coffee was flavourful and good value. The cups are big - 'small' is what I would call a biggish cup, 'medium' (or regular as the staff called it) is a large cup - the 'Large' cup is a fairly big mug. A nice surprise.
