Like most the hotel chains like premier inn ect , holiday inn is very modern upto date, looks clean and tidy. Their is underground parking and parking on a side road, which is double yellows though its a private road so apparently nothing is inforced.

The hotel does cater for meals and does have a bar. Though it is only a 10-15mins walk in to windsor.

The only issue I had with my stay was upon arrival no record of the booking even though we had confirmation email. Little bit concerning after a 4 hr drive you dont want the risk of not having a run luckily their was two rooms still free for the duration of the stay.

Also a common policy for hotels as a enviroment stance is towls on the floor to be washed towls hung up use again. I left mine on the floor ( I know as I washed a tshirt and hung on the towl rail so no space for the towl) an when I returned in the evening it had been put on the rail, not a massive issue , though I went an asked for a new towl as mine was filthly and damp and was informed one would be brough asap after 15mins still nothing so just had to use that towl. So customer service wasnt great.

One thing I do like about this chain is that breakfeast is provided as buffet style so you get what you want and in away guess that saves quite a bit. Good selection sausages, beans , scrambled eggs(which where horribe) toasted fruit , juice, yoghurts , tea coffee machine etc.

I have stayed in a few places in windsor and while some where more in the centre in terms location holiday express is more upto date comfortable.

The attendant at the desk at arrival was very nice and this made up for a couple of things that were not fantastic about our stay. The hotel says that it has parking for its guests, but when we went into the underground car park it was completely full. The attendant let us park our rental out front though which was very nice. She also made sure that we had everything we needed as far as toiletries because we told her that our luggage had not made it yet. The toilet seat was broken as well, which was not a huge deal, but worth noting.

We stayed in June 2013 and have no complaints. The rooms were clean, quiet and fairly spacious and if you have a child it doesn't cost extra to use the sofabed or to get a cot. There was free WiFi which was good, but I was unable to use the international/local phone card I had purchased from my room it would only work from the Reception phone, so i had to make my calls there which was very inconvenient. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and a short 10 minute walk into town centre. Breakfast is adequate, juice, cereal, croissants are fine and a drinkable cappuccino available from the machine, but the quality of cooked breakfast of scrambled egg, sausages etc could be improved upon. The hotel carpark was closed for some reason not sure why. Overall considering what you could pay for a hotel in Windsor it was good value for money, clean and comfortable. I would recommend a stay here.

new, modern hotel spotlessly clean. Friendly, helpful staff. comfortable beds. Had read previously of issue of limited car park spaces, but this is in residential street only a ten-minute walk into centre of Windsor so parking is expected to be restricted. When we couldn't get into hotel car park at night we went down side of hotel and at bottom of street found the Windsor Youth and Community centre car park. Only £1.50 for 3 hours from 9pm - midnight, then free from midnight to 9am.Also, first 2 hours of parking during day are free, so a very reasonable deal. Hotel didn't tell us of this option, so don't know if they are aware of it.

We stayed there for a couple of days in mid June.
The hotel has an excellent location, just a short 10 min walk into downtown Windsor and about 15 to Windsor castle.
Parking is a bit limited, however manageable with the attached parking garage.
Room are standard and in good condition.

What set this property apart from many other, was the quality of it's employees. They are looking out for you and were extremely helpful at every interaction.
From housekeeping to the GM every one was just pleasant to deal with, making it clear that customer service satisfaction was their goal.

Thank you for a pleasant stay.
