“Wicked way to spend a day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

Windsor great park must be one of, if not, the best open spaces in South West London especially along the dreary A4 corridor and by the airport. First off, it is massive with a large lake in the middle and scenic path around the edge, along with sections of woodland, it's own deer park and numerous playgrounds.

We normally cycle around it and stop off at the top of a hill with a view right down to the castle. For the less active there are multiple picnic areas with ample parking and ice cream vans etc.

Would recommend trying to park on a road before you reach it as car parking can be expensive. Highly recommended.

Huge place, actually I don't know why I am writing this as it our gem, not to be shared. So don't read this and my place of heaven will be safe.

“A walk in the park.”

What a wonderful place to stroll and relax. You can walk for miles and there are plenty of seats discretely set around to allow you to take the weight off your feet occasionally.

“A great park by Windsor Castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

A good opportunity to get some free fresh air and exercise. This time I only went up to the horseman statue, but the park is much bigger as it extends way beyond. Very different type of park from Richmond Park and the Central London parks -potentially a little boring, but definitely quieter.

“What a great walk ... actually a "Long Walk"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

I often walk from one end of the park into to Windsor town, have lunch, then walk back again. It's a long way, it's not called the "Long Walk" for nothing. But traffic free, except for when the Queen drives past on her way to church on a Sunday morning, it's a nice place to be. Especially in the deer park.
