To stay at the hotel seemed expensive at first but it was worth every penny, they must have spent a fortune on décor, the room was a premium pirate family room - myself my son and his Nana loved it. Food was really good and child friendly all you can eat. Splash pool was clean and fun for kids. Fab having on entrance to park and we were able to go in before main gates opened.

Room Tip: There are 3 themes knights, pirates and Adventurers. We are doing knights next time we go

We stayed at the hotel over the august Bank Holiday weekend, the Friday night.
We arrived for the morning and parked in the hotel car park, this in itself was clearly a bonus as I have read reviews about the nightmare other people had parking in the normal car parks and queueing to get in.
We were able to check in our luggage and go and enjoy the park. No queues to do this. Was very impressed considering how busy it must have been.
Once we had finished for the day at the park, we came back to check in to our rooms, again, no queues, very easy.
Once we had sussed the lifts (tip: use the stairs!) We found our room, just a basic one, Kingdom themed.
Well, the noise uttered from my 2 girls when they walked into the room pretty much made the whole trip worthwhile! :-)
What excellent rooms they are! I was so impressed, they are spacious, clean and had everything you would need.
Our bed was broken, we called down to reception and it was fixed promptly.
We went and used the pool before teatime, we expected it to be packed, but we must have timed it right, it was pretty much empty. Again, it was excellent. My 2 girls loved it, the 3 year old couldn't get enough of the slide and the tipping water and the sprays.....
The 7 year old loved the big pool and made some friends straight away.
We had booked in to the main restaurant on check in (TIP: book your slot on arrival as it gets very busy) The Bricks restaurant was great, however it's prices were not. It cost us over £60 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children who aren't great eaters. Its an all you can eat buffet. The food was delicious and they handle the vast amount of people very well. But sorry to say. Its over priced.
The entertainment for the children was great. We pretty much ate our desserts in peace because the girls had gone to watch the shows.
The breakfast next morning was lovely. Same thing again, all you can eat buffet. Very nice.
The early access to the park was great, but only half an hour? Really? Make it an hour and let the guests on the rides. Saying that, because we beat the crowds, we went straight to the rides that normally had the longest queues and managed to go on them several times in a row.
All in all, I was very impressed with both the hotel and the park, which I have reviewed separately.

Room Tip: Don't pay the extra for a 'view of the park' as all you will see is the lake and trees...

We booked Legoland Resort Hotel as a surprise for our son who was starting school. We booked a Premium Pirate Room with Park view. At nearly £500 we were expecting a lot more than what we got!

We were allocated a room with a disabled bathroom despite the hotel being fairly quiet. Basically the whole bathroom flooded when you took a shower as the water didn't drain away quick enough. Potentially very dangerous for people with young children.

We pre-paid for dinner which was buffet and average quality at best.

I know theme parks charge premium prices but I felt let down by the cost/quality ratio.

This place knows kids and delivers on all levels for them. Breakfast and dinner buffets fairly good quality and plenty of variety even for our fussy eaters. Pool area was fun but got caught out by all the rules - had to go back to room twice. Once because we found out a parent must be in the pool for kids under 12!?!?!?! Fine if they are young but our kids can swim and of course we would watch them but hubby went back to get togs. Then I tried to watch them and was told I could only watch from outside unless I was also in togs so back to the room again so I could get togs. I don't mind rules but it would have been easier if they told you these things upfront on checkin. Lifts were a waste of time - slow and always overcrowded. We just used the stairs. I thought it was good family fun but pretty overpriced.

We stayed at Legoland hotel for one night and while the hotel was clean and service on the whole was good, they certainly take advantage of the captive audience in the restaurant and bar.
The buffet was of a fairly decent quality with fresh hot food. However the prices are astonishing - £6.40 for a gin and tonic, serving Bombay Sapphire as the default rather than offering cheaper options, which they did have. This did put a dampener on the evening when we felt we were being ripped off.

We probably won't be staying here again.

We stayed at the hotel the night before we visited Legoland and the kids were amazed from the word go! We stayed in a pirate themed room which had every last detail and the kids enjoyed their 'treasure hunt' which ended with treasure in the safe. We visited the pool for an hour in the afternoon which was good fun. We had our evening meal in the Bricks Family Restaurant which was okay for buffet style but was expensive. We will definitely return given the chance.
