Fantastic holiday, great for children. You need three days to get the most of the experience. Definitely recommend it. The hotel has so many lego features its a wonderful environment for little lego lovers. The splash pool, though small, is a lot of fun and a great place to cool down. The shows they put on 3 x per day are simple but the kids love them. The xbox room featured all lego games and was a hit with our boys. The outdoor play ground was a safe fun place for the kids to spend the evening meeting new friends and playing on the outdoor equipment. The buffet breakfast and tea was great and if you chose to eat the buffet tea the staff were happy for you to return for puddings and tea, coffee and cold drinks till closing time at 9pm. It was a fun setting too to eat in. We had a pirate theme room, it was super.

We went as a family of 4 for 1 night:- Very easy to park the car close by (for free, or should I say included) and get into the hotel and then out into the park. Its a great advantage for hotel guests to get into the park for 9:30am before the masses start rolling in from 10am at the other side of the park. My kids loved the themed room, ours was an Adventure room, clean and well prepared.

One biggest let down for us adults was the expensive buffet evening meal in 'Bricks', the hotel restaurant. Despite booking a table for early in the evening, some of the food was no longer hot. This was a real shame as the food quality was good and fairly well presented. I understand that its a buffet but for nearly £20 a head they could and should do better. The other issue with Bricks is that they don't clear plates from the tables and with such small tables to dine from this is a problem. The staff just don't appear to be organised. Whilst a group of 4 staff chatted between themselves in the adjacent restaurant, dirty plates built up around us. The other problem with Bricks for us was that we were sat near where the evenings children's entertainment then began to be performed. This would have been ok but for the volume which was at an 'ear bleeding' level and the distraction to our kids who where trying to eat.

However despite the fact that the Bricks restaurant is an over priced, poor dining experience, the hotel and park are fantastic and our kids very much enjoyed their stay, which was the primary objective!

PS the breakfast restaurant staff were very polite and attentive, complete opposite to the evening team.
PPS I don't blame the (mostly very young) staff, just the lack of apparent 'front of house' management.

The hotel is very child friendly and offers indoor and outdoor activities. Us parents loved that the bar and restaurant overlook the playground, which allowed us to have a quiet cup of coffee or a drink while the boys were running around. The themed rooms are great and well designed. The food is ok, but there is a reasonable selection with plenty of things kids like (and not all of it "bad"). It can get very loud and a bit crowded in the restaurant area, but the boys did not mind - and since we stayed at the hotel for the kids, we did not mind (much...), either. If you are willing to pay a bit more for a great and a bit more relaxing family outing, I can highly recommend this.

Visited as a birthday treat for one of the children. Kids loved the themed rooms although the gift in the safe was a disappointment for both of them. Food in bricks was luke warm at best so not sure how they rate in food hygeine terms(?) - also the prices are high for what you get. There seems to be real lack of leadership/authority at the hotel - lots of young fairly clueless staff. We had to prompt them to clear tables and then listen to them complain it was someone elses job. Much could be improved here if bettered managed.

We stayed in a Kingdom standard room on Sunday 21st July. We arrived at the hotel at about 9.30 am and were instantly impressed with the Lego theme. We couldn't check into the hotel but they told us what room (203) we would have and gave us a pass to be able to access the park. We could have left our luggage with the porter but just left it in the car to collect later.

We went straight into the park and onto Atlantis before the queues built up. We managed about four rides with no queue at all. The park was busy but to be honest not as bad as expected.

Just before 3 o'clock we went back to the hotel to check in. The room was fabulous. Attention to detail and theming was brilliant and our son (9) loved having to find the combination for the safe to retrieve his Lego presents. The room was spotless, plenty of cupboards, loads of lovely thick, fluffy towels, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, toiletries (but no conditioner) and two TV's, one in the children's room and one in the main room. We wanted some more pillows and they arrived in no time.

My husband took my son to the pool and splash area for half an hour, it was tiny but cooled them down before dinner.

We booked into the Bricks restaurant as our son was dying to eat there and we really could not be bothered with going out to look for somewhere, especially getting caught up in the traffic leaving the park. Although it is a bit expensive £18.95 for adults and £8.95 for children we thought that this was not too bad for starters, main course, dessert and soft drinks (fizzy, juices and hot drinks). The food was decent quality, there was enough choice, especially for vegetarians and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We then had time to revisit the park in the evening and go on another couple of rides before the park closed at 7pm.

We went and sat in the bar and at 8pm a dreadful show was put on by some of the staff but the kids loved it and that was all that mattered. Our son didn't watch it as he was too engrossed in the xbox.

We went back to the room and had a fabulous nights sleep (we did not face the park but had a nice view and it was quiet) before the planes started overhead at 6.30am, we didn't mind as it gave us time for a drink and a shower before breakfast at 7.30am. This again was good, no complaints, no rowdy children as others have stated in reviews just very helpful staff who made us poached eggs although they were not on offer! The quality of the breakfast was good and again we all enjoyed it ready to enter the park again at 9.30am.

We managed 5 main rides before 11am which we thought was great and a major bonus of staying in the hotel.

Overall I would say that yes it is a bit expensive but we knew that before we booked and actually I thought the experience was worth the expense. Book early and get a good price. We booked a few months ago and paid £280 for the room, breakfast and two days in the park, on the day, at reception it stated £415 for our room, I don't know if this included entrance to the park but would not have paid this. I'm actually a bit sad that we probably won't go again as our son is getting a little old for Legoland!

Room Tip: Don't pay extra to overlook the park I would think this would be quite noisy as the play area is...

we are a family of five, with three kids aged 6,9 and 11.Flying into Heathrow from Ireland on a boiling hot afternoon we arrived at the hotel at 2pm,we were delighted to find our bedroom had been serviced and we could check in immediately . We had chosen a kingdom room,it was absolutely charming, spotlessly clean and airconditioned. The decor on walls and floor was great....castles and dragons etc. next to the sink in the bathroom stood a wicker basket generously stocked with large fluffy towels.A wide antique style mirror overlooked the sink and there was a cute castle themed mural in the alcove over the loo, which thoughtfully had little and large toilet seats- a nice touch!
As our room was on the second floor we could easily get to restaurant and theme park,we climbed one flight of stairs to get to the pool. The only time we had to use the lifts was when we first arrived with all our luggage
I had booked our first dinner at Bricks restaurant in advance.,purely for convenience until we found our feet. In the end, we ate all 3 evening meals there. It was very satisfactory, wide range of food options.I'm not vegetarian but the veggie options were tasty and interesting.Sure there were a few junk options for the kids, but whats wrong with insisting they also take some of the fruit and veg on offer as well?.In the mornings after breakfast I would fill a tupperware container with refreshing fruit cocktail, we enjoyed eating it in the heat of the theme park. We also took cheese and crackers from the buffet. THe staff were friendly and helpful, as they were throughout the hotel as a whole. The casual self service nature of the restaurant is ideal for familes with small restless kids, who won't wait for anything.
After dinner the kids would dash off to the lovely playground just outside ,or head to the xbox den in the entertainment area. It was small compact and easy for us to patrol. We could enjoy a glass of wine from the skyline bar, without worrying about their safety.Everyone was happy and we relaxed after a tiring day in the park.
Others have mentioned that staying in this hotel is relatively expensive, maybe not great value for money. I disagree. A holiday like this is all about the kids happiness and safety and convenience/peace of mind for parents. Here you have it all. We could relax in the entertainment area, still dressed in the clothes we wore all day,no fussing, nobody judging us. Everyone is in the same boat with young kids, some of whom may be overwhelmed by the excitement of the day.
The facility of the swimmimg pool was a great bonus, our kids are water babies. We used it twice, its a great escape from the heat of the day.
We checked out early , just after 9 on the last day and left our bags with the porter, so we got to spend some time in Windsor. I have no quibble with the early check out. It was probably the reason that our room was ready early for us in the first place! We left a tip for the excellent cleaning staff., who do such a good job allover the hotel.
The girl on reception even haggled with the taxi company to get a good rate for our return to Heathrow.!From start to finish, the staff were courteous and helpful. The lego decor in the hotel and out in the theme park is ingenious,my photo album shows just how impressed I was!
A quick word for the staff who supervised the rides in the park- they were fantastic in their diligence to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all .
Would I recommend a stay at Legoland Resort Hotel- Absolutely Yes !!Just bear in mind that it's going to be a busy noisy time, with lots of small kids around. If you gat a chance to chill out its a bonus, but the whole set up is geared to making your stay as easy as possible.

Room Tip: Rooms at the entrance side are quieter and cooler in the evening.,the sun sets on the other side whe...
