Visited Alexandra Gardens for the first time in many years, with a visiting friend. I had forgotten how pleasant the gardens are, even though the weather was not great. The lawns are well maintained and it is a perfect place for a stroll, being right next to the river. The coach park and car park are nearby which makes this areas very convenient. There is a small cafe and lots of things for children to do. For those interested in history there is the memorial to Sir Sidney Camm who designed the WW2 Hurricane fighter. It is right next to the river, which this time of year is very quiet. This is probably the best time of year to visit if you want a quiet stroll as during the summer it gets very busy.
