As part of Windsor castle, a mandatory part of the city site-seeing. Not as austere as some thinks, a nice-sized chapel to contemplate.

This Chapel is rich in history. Anybody with the slightest interest in British history should visit this building - and it's not just royal history either. Fabulously well maintained, only slight complaint was the cost of entering Windsor Castle to visit - thought that was expensive.

One of the best chapels you could ever visit.

Exudes history and glorious architecture, everyone visiting Windsor should either come here as part of the castle tour, or for a service, both are excellent ways to see such a historic building.

We went to the evensong at St George's Chapel one evening during the week. It began at 5.15pm and finished at 6pm. It was quite simply beautiful and moving. You are allowed to sit in the Garter stalls in the Quire, where such illustrious people as Sir Winton Churchill have sat and others from centuries ago.
The wonderful rich oak carvings and tombs of English kings such as Henry Viii and George Vi surround you as the beautiful voices of the choir transport you away from the days stresses and trials.
You do not need to be spiritual to appreciate the wonder and magnificence of this chapel. You just need to be human!

The beautiful St. George’s chapel gives a perfect finishing of the beautiful experience in the Windsor castle. The mix of religion with the queen’s dynasty makes this chapel more important in the history of this country.
The architecture of the chapel is a unique example of gothic architecture. The huge quire of the chapel is feast of eyes if you want to get out of the historic importance for a while. The chapel holds the immense importance of hosting the garter service.
