Owner description: Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and offers an extraordinarily rich and varied day out. Throughout its history, the Castle has been redecorated, enlarged and rebuilt. Today The Queen spends most of her private weekends at the Castle, which is also used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions. Your ticket to Windsor Castle includes entry to our exhibition Waterloo at Windsor.

This is a lovely, friendly castle with loads to see and do. Full of history and pageantry. The Changing of the Guards is spectacular. The band played "Dancing Queen", "Mama Mia" and "Waterloo"!! Ask for a senior discount if you are eligible and get your ticket stamped for further visits for free

We spent a goof four hours viewing all areas of the Castle. The royal apartments are well worth a visit and the number of paintings by the masters are breathtaking.

Make sure you find somwhere to park though before you get to the Castle becasue you can end up going round and round on yourself if you dont know the city.

In London for business I had a free day and went with a colleague to Windsor Castle for the afternoon. Very impressive place and well worth price of admission. The audio tour made the difference. I wish they would have allowed photos inside the apartments and chapel, but I'd recommend this a great day trip. Public transport was a breeze from LHR and Slough station.

Did the tour with the guide who was very interesting. We we only in there for 2 hours so a bit expensive.

This is my favourite tourist attraction in the UK. We only live locally but it's just such a lovely thing to do on a quiet day. When it's busy it can be a bit of a nightmare however.

You really get a feel for the 'house where the Queen lives' as it were. It's a real 'living, breathing' castle and a home, as opposed to other places (other National Trust houses perhaps) which definitely feel like things to just 'look at'.
Lots of fun and also as a Brit I felt a lot of National Pride while walking around the castle.
