“Wonderfully warm and welcoming!”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

We stayed at Rainworth for 3 nights in June and 1 night again in July before and after our cruise. Doreen and Robert welcomed us warmly to their home, and were extremely friendly and gracious hosts, providing us with dining and touring recommendations and answering all our questions about the local area. We stayed in two different rooms, both of them spacious, beautifully appointed, and impeccably clean with in-suite bathrooms, a lovely hot pot for making tea and coffee in the room with cookies, and fresh bottles of water every day for us to take out touring. The house is older (by American standards), but very well maintained. The full English breakfasts were outstanding...fresh fruit and yogurt or cereals to start, then cooked to order fresh hot eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms that melt in your mouth, bacon and sausage. The location feels like you're in the countryside even though it's just a few minutes drive into downtown Windsor, and easy to get to as long as you have a car, and it was only a 20 minute drive from Heathrow. We were there as a couple, but this is a wonderful location for families as well, both of our rooms included extra beds to accommodate children. We highly recommend Rainworth!

After a fun filled day at Legoland we checked into our family room. The bathroom was so huge we could've had a party in it! The beds were comfortable and tea, coffee and biscuits were provided and were much welcomed. The breakfast the next morning was scrumptious. I don't know how Doreen managed to remember everyone's orders! The fresh fruit salad was yum and the cooked breakfast tasted devine and was presented attractively.

Rainworth Guest House is in a lovely location, just 10 minutes drive from Windsor & Eton, yet in a quiet setting with easy access to the town. The Guest House itself comprises just 5 rooms, which makes for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our room was cosy, but comfortable; well maintained; clean and with a lovely balcony. The breakfast was excellent and substantial. Very Good value for money, and would certainly stay there again if in the area.

We stayed two nights as a family of four, and wished it could have been longer. The room and bathroom (Room 1) were enormous and very clean, and well-provided with amenities such as cookies for the kids, water bottles, and a good selection of books. The grounds were even lovelier and included a pony paddock as well as the kids' favorite feature, an ebullient cocker spaniel named Mr Darcy. Doreen did not at all mind the boys' racing around the garden with him every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with very good fruit, and a better selection than many other B&B's. There was a lot of air traffic, but nothing that disrupted our sleep; Doreen explained that the Heathrow flight paths change such that there are only a few days each month that the planes are directly overhead. The only problem we had was that the wi-fi signal was very weak in our room (Room 1), and so we could not really use it unless we were in the breakfast room or the lounge adjoining it.

Four of us stayed at the Rainworth House for 5 days the first week of our three week trip to England this last May. Everything about the Rainworth House is a delight. I will never forget the kindness of Doreen and Robert. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful. It was our introduction to "Full English Breakfasts"! We all missed our dogs back in the States, and Mr. Darcy was a great substitute (the family dog). It is that "happy place" in my memory that I will go back and visit frequently as I remember our wonderful trip to England. I highly recommend the Rainworth House, and hopefully some day will get to go back for a visit.

We stayed at Rainworth for three nights in June and are a family of 5. Our room was spotless and huge with a king size for us, two singles and a put up for our youngest. The bathroom was as big as the bedroom, the kids loved it! Doreen was absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, she directed us to a local pub, the Sun and Stars for dinner on our first night which was delicious and very family friendly. Breakfast on our first morning was wonderful, delicious and relaxing. The house is beautiful with lovely grounds to walk around, and a friendly dog, Mr Darcy! I chose this guest house based on it's reviews on Tripadvisor and am happy to be adding my own here as another positive one! I heartily recommend Rainworth and will stay again when visiting Windsor.
