Its so good to find a really decent village pub that's not a restaurant. Apparently, this beautiful old pub is owned by the parish council(?) and serves the local community with a surprising range of real ales (at least 5 different ones), real ciders (at least 7) and the usual array of lagers. The menu is short and to the point. It very much does what is says on the tin. We were there on a Tuesday evening and the place was very busy with real local people enjoying themselves without the need of loud music/tv sports etc. For those village pubs that are struggling, come and have a look at this place. Really.
