Makes a nice photo! There is also the blue river cafe and restaurant next to the bridge.Did't go in as the building looked shabby.

This was the second time I came here with friends. The famous bridge has a mesmerizing structure as it towers over you. It has historical significance. One can admire its length and magnificence while walking alongside the river Thames. There are a lot of Cafes and restaurants near it which are a delight to go to.

It's a great little walk along that side of the Thames, don't do it as much now as when my daughter rowed along that stretch of river.

A short walk to view and admire this magnificent structure is well recommended. At the time it was built they said it would collapse but it was the scaffolding left in place, just in case, that did and not the bridge. Kids always love the echo's. What more can I say !

We stayed at the Thames Riviera hotel just up from this bridge. Whilst out for a walk we wanted to see this marvel by Brunel as it is built solely from bricks with a framework in place originally. I wanted to find it more and looked at Wikipedia. I was amazed at the information, suggest whoever reads this goes to, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maidenhead_Railway_Bridge to be amazed. One of the things we found out when under the arch was the ECHO even just normal speaking level, but if you shout it's even more amazing. Well worth a visit just to have a good shout, although I just wonder what the people living by the bridge think.
