“Fantastic echoes, and building skills.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

We stayed at the Thames Riviera hotel just up from this bridge. Whilst out for a walk we wanted to see this marvel by Brunel as it is built solely from bricks with a framework in place originally. I wanted to find it more and looked at Wikipedia. I was amazed at the information, suggest whoever reads this goes to, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maidenhead_Railway_Bridge to be amazed. One of the things we found out when under the arch was the ECHO even just normal speaking level, but if you shout it's even more amazing. Well worth a visit just to have a good shout, although I just wonder what the people living by the bridge think.

“Well worth a detour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

Certainly worth a look if you are passing, while it may not be a tourist attraction in the common sense, it is a marvellous piece of engineering when Britain led the world. The river frontage is pretty and the Blue River Cafe Restaurant opposite is well worth visiting for a meal, fairly priced with a good view of he arch and Maidenhead bridge.

“Still the biggest brick arch in the world”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

Talk a walk along the Thames and see this amazing railroad bridge which still the largest in the world. When you look back at this Brunel wonder and see underneath, you realize just how big it is.

“Always worth a visit”

On the Thames path it's a great feat of building for its day. An historical piece of engineering.try a song under the arch, it's better than singing in the shower!

“Brunels echo bridge”

Historic engineering! Brunel made the Great Western Railway and this feature is right on that route.
