We were visiting family on a weekend away in Cookham, looking for somewhere to eat an early family meal and this suited ours needs. The restaurant is in a slightly odd location, out of town, but once inside we were on familiar territory. The staff were friendly and patient with our extended group. We ate off the reasonably priced set menu and were overall pleased with our choices. Some of the starters were huge (onion bhaji - think 2 giant tennis balls) and we had plenty of food left over which we took home with us afterwards. Only complaint - the dishes were all a bit spicier than expected. We like spice but some of them were far hotter than you would get elsewhere! Desserts were the usual ice creams and sadly the ice cream penguin was out of stock!
