This is our second visit and as we were visiting the playhouse, we had planned to take advantage of their brilliant 2 course plus coffee/tea £9.95 offer. However last time we went they were very welcoming and made a point of mentioning the offer, but this time we had to specifically ask for it, as did every other table...they were full and this is obviously in part down to the early diners offer, (it was 6ish) so why the reluctance. (this is the only reason I give it very good and not excellent)
we asked for the set menu as they only left us the full one and there was a definite sniff, but the menu was brought to the table, and it was as before fabulous, this time I had the prawn toast, followed by the green curry and husband had the spring rolls with the penang red curry. We also had an extra dish of Pad Thai, which are the best ever, not a lot of the beancurd but still amazing flavour. Definitely the best Thai food I have ever eaten, absolutely loved it.
Definitely recommend, it was even busier than the last time we were in there and clearly they know how to cook! Just wish they didnt make me feel such a cheapo because I wanted to have the £9.95 dinner!! Funny thing was we ordered a bottle of wine and extra noodles and a dessert because it was such good value.
It wont stop us from going again as this is just so far superior for a pre theatre supper to anything else available. Just brilliant.
