“Fantastic, highly recommend.”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Fantastic courteous service matched by the most enjoyable Indian food served anywhere. Staff are friendly, polite and dressed superbly. Highly professional service attentive to your every need. Food cannot be better. Usual drab Korma and Madras are consigned to the small print in the pages of a wonderful and ingenious menu of real substance describing the dish in detail to leave your mouth watering. A wonderful atmosphere to enjoy the most wonderful food presented well, and with so many flavours that simply leave you grinning with joy when eating. Try the curried Welsh Lamb stir fry or Sandalwood Chicken.

“Not your average town centre Indian”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Visited Anokaa for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted on arrival and service throughout was very friendly - you feel they are really trying.
I'd had a sneak preview of the menu on the website, but could happily have chosen any of the delicious sounding dishes. As it was we decided on the slow cooked lamb and baked spiced halibut.. We had to share as both were so good!

This is not your average Indian for sure. I loved the main courses that came with all the appropriate accompaniments, as deemed by the Chef. Some dishes included masala potatoes, others lemon or pilau rice. You therefore didn't need to try and guess what would go with what.
For the quality, the pricing seemed reasonable too.

I would definitely revisit this little gem!

“fantastic Indian; well worth a visit”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We selected the restaurant on the basis of the trip adviser review and were not disappointed. It was quieter than expected but that is not surprising for early evening on a cold thursday in february. we were welcomed like old friends and the service was superb. The food lived upto expectations. The seafood platter was delicately spiced allowing the taste of the seafood to compliment the spices. The rack of lamb was delicious but our favourite was the duck. Tasty, sweet with fruit and wonderfully spiced. it was moreish! Definitely a place to return to and enjoy. Thank you trip adviser

“Outstanding”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

We dined here in December to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. It was delightful. Still fairly quiet as it was quite early on in the evening. The service was attentive. The food absolutely beautiful. A good balance of flavour, spice and heat. We all enjoyed our meals so much we will definitely be back when the opportunity arises.
