A little pricey but the food was really tasty and very well presented. The taste was actually enough balance the price. Overall a pleasant experience with very friendly staff.

“Well worth the journey.”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

We ate a fabulous meal here a few years ago and a return visit was long overdue. Our daughter was travelling back to London and she opted for a train from Salisbury rather than a closer location, specifically to visit Anokaa. Everything was as wonderful as we'd remembered, if not better. Lovely surroundings, great service and perfect food - both in taste and looks. Definitely worth the dark rainy drive (it's 25 miles from our home). The menu is extensive and very imaginative so it was difficult to choose but we were delighted with all our choices. We arrived early on a Sunday evening and it was very quiet but pretty busy by the time we left, so would recommend booking. I think Salisbury station will be the one of choice in future to facilitate more visits!

“Delicious food, great service - we wish we lived locally!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

The restaurant on Saturday night was busy and had a great atmosphere. All, barring one waiter, were polite and friendly. We were served promptly and had the option to choose dishes from the main menu or the seasonal menu.

The menu offered something different to the usual Indian restaurant. We both had three courses plus poppadums and did not feel over full at the end. The presentation and flavours were excellent. We certainly would visit again if we lived nearby - pity we don't!

“Worth moving house for...”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

We were working in Salisbury and used trip advisor to guide us to the nearest good restaurant.
Anokaa from the outside was a little brash with it's bright lights and loud sign. However this restaurant has much to shout about. The staff were courteous and friendly, the decor modern, with mirrors, colour changing walls and bubble water art installations. The menu is a delight and is surely the way forward if Indian cuisine is to evolve as it must. The Goan beef starter; soaked overnight in Yoghurt and Rum spiced with ginger, chillies and cloves was lean, tender and delicious as we're the chicken lollipops. The Rogan Josh Welsh Lamb shank, Old Delhi style chicken curry with honey and orange and side dish of sweet fried pumpkin, ginger and coriander were all served with an artistic eye and again tasted wonderful.
The cost for two people including a dessert but no wine came to around £60 (the mineral water was a little steep at £4.30 a bottle). Worth every penny. If you find yourself in Salisbury searching for fine food look no further.
