Steve & Wenda provide the best service. A friendly welcome, followed by comfortable rooms. Breakfast was brillant. We enjoyed the extra help with our travel ideas and the local knowledge. We stayed at the end of our trip to Europe and enjoyed the comforts. If we come back that way, it will be our 1st choice.

Room Tip: All rooms were great. The rooms with the view of the Cathedral were great.

This was definitely the most delightful of the four B&B's a friend and I stayed in on a recent visit to Britain. Owners Steve and Wenda must enjoy what they are doing because they are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The twin room was quite spacious and very clean and had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. Photos on the hotel website do not do justice to the room or to the really lovely linens on the bed. The beds were comfortable, the bath was a fine size, and the hospitality tray included small bags of Wenda's lavender shortbread. For breakfast both mornings of our stay I enjoyed perfectly poached eggs along with fresh fruit, toast, and Steve's exceptionally tasty homemade strawberry jam. Steve was happy to recommend restaurants and chat about Salisbury and its sights. Last but not least, the location is superb--near a gate into the Cathedral Close and an easy walk into the heart of town.

My sister and I stayed at Cathedral View B&B at Salisbury. What a wonderful experience.
Steve was alone, because Wenda went to a trip, but he is fantastic. He opened the door and said, hello Maria! What a warm welcome.
The house and the room are very clean, the room is big and from my bed I could see the beautiful Cathedral spire. There are many small details in the room like toaletries and sewing stuff, the decoration is very nice.
The breakfast is very tasty, and we like to sit with another guests, we talked a lot and sharing trip experiences.
Steve is very helpful with the instructions about the Cathedral and Stonehenge.
We love very much our trip to Salisbury and our time at Cathedral View.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in room number 3, because the twin beds, and the view is wonderful.

I've stayed in a few B&B's in the UK in my time, the chintzy, the shabby and the downright scary. But at last I have found one that is just right for me. Wenda and Steve at Cathedral View make you feel at home immediately without being overbearing. My room was comfortable and featured some sweet treats for the weary traveller. Breakfast was a highlight, as was the great central location. Can't speak highly enough of this great find.

Very impressed with the accommodation the rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable, and pillows were very very good, the shower pressure was strong and the breakfast Steve provided was terrific. Steve was very informative about where to get the best meal and he was right and what to look for in Salisbury. Even looked into which would be the best way to get back to the airport. I would recommend staying there. It was a lovely B&B and was very relaxing. Well Done Steve & Wenda

This was a second visit having stayed around 12 months previously, clearly the fact that we chose to return suggests that we had a great stay last time around, which we did.

Our second visit was equally good, if not better. Perhaps the highlight of the stay was the stupendously comfortable bed, which gave us both a fabulously comfortable and sound nights sleep, a rarity for us when traveling.

Our room was spotless, with so many thoughtful touches - showing an unusual level of care and an attention to detail that is rarely found. There really are too many of these to list here, but to give you sme details these included a small torch hanging from the hook on the back of the door (just in case of a power cut), and that rarity of things having more than enough high quality wooden coat hangers in the wardrobes. It's simple things like this that so many hotels and B&Bs get wrong and it's so refreshing to visit somewhere tht gets them right!

Steves breakfast was also superb. Generous portions of good quality local food, lots of choice, and a lovely breakfast room overlooking the cathedral made for a perfect start to the day.

Steve and Wenda, our hosts, struck a perfect balance between being friendly & helpful and giving us our own space.

I really can't recommend Cathedral View highly enough and would suggest that anyone who's thinking of running their own B&Bs should invest in a stay here for a masterclass on how a great one should be run.

Room Tip: Both rooms that we've stayed in have been great!

A super review for which we thank our guest. When we go away I always take my own little torch incase I want to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and not disturb Steve by putting a big light on. Hence the torch in rooms... not for power cuts.

I spent 2 nights in Cathedral View whilst attending a course. We had 1 day to enjoy Salisbury & thanks to advice from Steve we made the absolute most of our free time. The highlight was evensong in the Cathedral sitting in the choir stalls which we managed by acting on Steves inside information.
Steve & Wenda were so friendly, helpful & welcoming. My room was immaculate, the bed comfortable-great sleep in a quiet room overlooking the garden. There were fresh flowers in the bedroom & bathroom. It's true, there is homemade lavendar shortbread on the beverage tray & it's lovely...& when you eat it...it's replaced!! Breakfast was a treat. Freshly made, plenty choice & plenty of it.I didn't feel ready to leave after 2 nights & will be visiting again with my husband & not for business, Now we are converted,Thanks to Steve & Wenda, we now DO B&B!
