Description: We would love to welcome you to our family-run restaurant and cafe and shisha garden conveniently located in the heart of Salisbury, just down the road from the rail station. Our mainly Turkish menu has something to suit everyone - with our new fast lunch-time deal which can have a taste of various countries foods for you to sample at your leisure to more refined A-La-Carte dining with an Ottoman menu which is similar to modern-day Moroccan and Lebanese cuisines in spicing and the inclusion of dried fruits and nuts in many of the dishes. We wanted to create an opulent environment similar to the hotels and palaces of the Middle-East, but without the steep price-tag. For this reason you will find, despite the rich decor, an informal eating space that welcomes all age groups and caters for most tastes. You can just pop in and have a piece of baklava (rich, sticky pastry with walnuts) or enjoy the full experience with Live BellyDancing and Traditional Music (most Fridays and Saturdays). Our large Shisha Garden is open all year and we even have Bedouin Tents for you to come and get away from it all in. We are unique and completely new concept in the dining-out experience - we will do all we can to make the best of your time with us - We are EASTERN CHILLOUT - enjoy the ride!

We find a place. We eat. We drink. So far, so good. We can all do this. We're not novices to Eastern Chillout; we've had a togged up wedding rehearsal here ; I've had a business meeting here. Today we had a family table for 15. Ever found that a trial? Just round the corner from the Train Station, at the finishing post of Salisbury's Curry Mile, one of our incredible City's most eloquent venues. Just across from the Raj Put,: another proper, genuine diamond.
The people are the business. It's a family vocation. This place you will not believe..until you go .Ever had a Gul Serbet (Rose Sherbert)? We were given the Garden Room. It's outside but inside. The whole place is family and child embracing. We had our own servery. We had plush seating. We had the Sunday Buffet @ less than a Tenner. Sure, we had food, we had drink, we had company; but I have to tell you we also had these people and no others looking after us. They made it complete; they are the business, and they are what makes a superb dining experience.

“A real gem”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

Intimate atmosphere, great food, friendly hosts and extremely reasonable prices. If you are planning to go with a group of friends there's a beautiful and very comfortable, separate, room in the courtyard garden you can have all to yourselves.

Strongly recommended.

“Excellent meal and great service”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

Visited for the 1st time this weekend
- The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive, and they gave us recommendations about what to eat and about visiting Istanbul/Ephesus
- The food was delicious - There is plenty to choose from (hot/cold/quick bites/lunch menus) and the menu was helpfully descriptive. I went for the almond chicken stuffed with spiced rice, my veggie friend was also very well catered for. The baklava was very moreish.
- It was very refreshing to see a wide range of drinks that are not over-priced. We had mint tea, turkish coffee and rose water
- The only (minor) downside was the waiting time once it had started to get busy at about 7pm.

Will definitely come again and I'll try the shisha next time

“A-mezze-ing!!!”

Very friendly staff, who did everything they could to make our evening a delight. So much food, that was a treat for the taste buds. Belly dancing for entertainment gave a great atmosphere. Really well set out and decorated. A great night out, thank you!

“Great fun”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

Very welcoming staff and nice ambience gives it a good authentic Middle Eastern feel. The restaurant is nicely laid out to avoid a big-room feel and very comfortable (we were on long settees and could have easily dozed off once we were fat and full). The staff are very efficient and attentive, and most of all very helpful with the menu if you are unsure about the different dishes there's no need to feel uneasy about asking. The food is really nice and if you like spicy food this makes a wonderful change from curry/Indian dishes, well cooked, well presented and well worth trying. We were too stuffed to try the deserts. Entertainment was laid on (this was Friday night – not sure if all nights this would happen) in the form of a 15 mins belly-dancing show, and yep fellow customers were up joining in shaking their stuff. Eastern Chill Out is aptly named as it is a laid back, fun place with good food and good value – will we go again...yep!
Only downsides...please get a better music system for the dancing...and Turkish coffee is best described as an acquired taste.
