The staff was very friendly and managed to get us rooms in a busy week-end. We moved between four rooms and all rooms were excellent with very nice ensuites. Breakfast, which is excellent, is in a conservatory and the room is bright and spacious.

We stayed at Cricketfield House as part of our honeymoon. We pocked it based on the reviews on tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed.

This was our first trip to Salisbury, and we had no difficulty finding the B&B. We were very warmly welcomed by the owners, who even took time to ensure we knew how to work the tv and shower.

We wanted to walk to see the cathedral, which was possible, but it was 30 minutes.

The room was very comfortable, and suited our needs very well. The real treat, however, was the full English breakfast the next morning; it was absolutely perfect. Everything was there which we could has wanted.

Quiet location, room comfortable, owners helpful. Breakfasts wonderful! Parking a bit tight. Only issue: you MUST drive to Salisbury and to restaurants. Before 6 PM you pay to park in Salisbury. Drive to Salisbury was easy and parking fine and convenient, just required money.

We stayed here 3 nights as a base to explore Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath, Lacock, etc. The hosts treated us and everyone else like longtime friends, greeting everyone at breakfast. The breakfast included incredibly fresh, locally grown berries that were the best we ever tasted. Rooms overlooked the garden or adjacent cricket field, where lads of 10 or so were playing after school. The hosts moved an extra bed into our sons' room so they wouldn't have to share a bed. We got a treat of water bottles, always helpful, on check-out, plus some extra cookies of the same kind provided in the rooms. A great location especially for anyone with a car, away from the cramped city center.

Room Tip: Book online well inadvance

I stayed at The Cricket Field House Hotel for one night with my friend on Sat 18 June on our way to the New Forest.
It was spotless and immaculate (cannot understand the few comments saying otherwise) and I found the staff and management to be very friendly and courteous - well the waitress at breakfast was Polish so that says it all!
The rooms were so clean and cosy - shower was a bit teeny!
Breakfast was fantastic, well replenished and the hot stuff cooked to order.
A few small points to mention as follows:
1. We couldn't find anyone about after about 8pm when we needed a member of staff.
2. I spotted a small cosy lounge by the breakfast area when eating our breakfast and was surprised that the owner hadn't pointed this out to us on arrival as we didn't know it was there until we were leaving. It looked so inviting and it would have been nice to sit there when we got back from visiting Salisbury early evening especially as the weather was horrid. We sat in the lovely garden for an hour and then went back to our room from about 8ish which was fine but the lovely sitting area would have been even nicer.
3.Also I was a bit surprised to find no bar facilities and evening snacks were not served Fri, Sat and Sundays - only Mon to Thurs evenings. As per previous comments I would definitely have put this accommodation down as a Bed and Breakfast not a hotel albeit a very high standard B and B.
