We visited the Dessert Shop on a Saturday around 11am and they were already out of scones for the day. Decided on a plum and apple tart and ricotta and orange cake instead with warm drinks. Can't fault the desserts they were lovely, tea also a nice quality but espresso and coffees were more of an after thought.
Noticeably you can see they attract a more mature crowd, not the sort you find at Starbucks or Boston, seems very popular with the over 60s and quite a quiet upper dining room (about five tables). We will be back again for more tea and dessert but not if we are after a coffee.
