Owner description: Journey back in time to discover Stonehenge, probably the most sophisticated stone circle in the world. Our hop-on hop-off tour picks up in Salisbury city centre, Salisbury Railway Station and runs to Old Sarum, through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside to the magnificent, magical henge. If you are not driving to Stonehenge, then this is a convenient way to see the stones. The double decker bus that takes you on this tour departs from Salisbury Railway Station so it is very convenient. Tickets are available from the driver. The bus takes you through Salisbury centre and the countryside. Once at Stonehenge, you disembark and the driver takes you through skipping the queue. On the return journey, you can get off at Old Sarum but few do and alight either at the town centre or the railway station.

Stonehenge is worth visiting. There are so many unanswered questions. I never ceased to be amazed by how the huge heavy stones can be erected in such a precise manner without the aid of machines and technology. This was my third visit and I remained amazed. There are also two stones that you can touch - one feels hot and the other is cold. Pick up the free audio guide that comes with your ticket.

We hopped on the double-decker bus right outside the train station on arrival, bags and all. Easy way to get to Stonehenge and back, plus some nice views of the countryside with commentary to go along with it. You get to bypass the waiting line for tickets at Stonehenge since you pay for the ticket with the tour. And Stonehenge itself was well worth it. One of those things that pictures don't do justice to.

This company advertisers itself as "hop-on-hop-off", but they don't mean it. If you don't get off at Stonehenge after boarding at the bus or train stop, be prepared to be screamed at by a rude, hostile driver. They are not a "tour company" that wants you to enjoy a nice holiday. They just operate a bus that makes a big circle around the area.

Any company that would hire such an abusive driver as Richard clearly has no concept of service or how to respect customers.

Pick any other company but The Stonehenge Tour. It is bound to be a true tour with a positive experience.
