Hello,

Me and a fellow fitness consultant travelled a great distance to visit here. We found it, eventually - snow is a difficult for us. It is beautiful - we saw Ted Heath's hut, the first clock without a battery, and a huge tower. We walked the beautiful Wilton Road, for a better view - and a visit to a housing estate. The left that night - with a lifetime of memories.

Be warned The Close is locked at night.
I almost got locked in about ten pm
Not sure what the procedure is if you find yourself locked in

Obviously the star of The Close is the Cathedral, but the Close itself is amazing. First it is enormous, so you can see the cathedral near to and from afar, there are some modern sculptures, in the grounds, and all around you are the charming houses. Well worth going to.

Walking round the Close it is hard to believe that you are really so close to the centre of a busy city. Very peaceful, pretty and serene. A great place to relax and contemplate the surroundings.

Not much to add to recent reviews. You can walk across the meadows and have a drink at The Old Mill. It's fantastic that such a wonderful space is right next to the city centre.
