nice area to walk around, with great views on the cathedral. beautiful garden. not too exciting overall, but still a nice thing to do in Salisbury, especially as there are not many things to do in town.

A nice place to stroll and view the many old buildings many of which have plaques outside offering information on their past.

lovely setting for the cathedral and some lovely houses. The medieval hall is sadly not open for visitors which is a shame. a great place to sit and absorb traditional england. Sadly a bit cold for thisin february!

I have visited the Cathedral on many occasions and as there is an entry charge I decided to confine myself to admiring the buildings around The Close. In the past I have visited the Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum which is excellent and Mompesson House which is well worth visiting. Whether or not one wants to go inside any of the buildings, The Close has a wonderful atmosphere with plenty of opportunity to take stunning photographs.

Now a resident of Salisbury, so this makes a good place to visit either passing through or as a venue in itself. Lots to see and interesting architecture.
