Went for a nice dinner with my parents and boyfriend. Sat outside in the sun in the beautiful garden. Great drinks and delicious food. A lovely evening out. Will definitely come again.

My wife and I continue to search the area for various eateries. The Wheatsheaf Inn is deceptively spacious inside and the décor looks new and fresh and pleasing to the eye. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The menu is extensive and should cater for most tastes. There are sharing platters and you can view the current menu online. The service was efficient and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food arrived nicely presented and had everything you would expect from a good pub restaurant. One bonus here is that the pub does mini desserts. There are 6 of them and only £1.99 each - ideal if you just want a sweet dish to finish but not a full plate.
I will return to this restaurant as it represents great value for money and the staff are efficient and friendly which makes a difference.

Have been to this establishment with my parents before , and although the food has been good, it has been nothing to write home about.

We were there 2 weeks ago and what an improvement ....to be greeted by friendly staff , and a new menu was a pleasure .

Under new management now after a makeover refurb by Hall and Woodhouse .

A good menu and daily specials to choose from and good value for money.
The staff even checked more than once that everything was ok.

The difference a new manager and staff who are passionate about what they are doing.

My only issue would be that for a Dorset Brewery to be offering Devon Ice Cream on the desert menu is strange ....What is wrong with Dorset Ice Cream ?

Anyway well worth a visit in this delightful valley in Wiltshire.

While attending a weekend event in Salisbury, I was taken out to this pub for lunch on a lovely sunny day and hadn't even checked it out on TripAdvisor first. We sat outside under a parasol and had a splendid long lunch which lasted into the early afternoon. Food was good with the highlight being an excellent range of ice cream deserts. Staff were prompt and attentive and the food bill for five came to £80. The drinks bill reflected our thirst. Can't believe there are 66 better venues, if true, the people of Salisbury are very lucky.
