Description: Boston Tea Party is a small family owned independent café group serving simple well-prepared food & drinks made with great ingredients, skill and love. Ethically sourced, affordable, feel-good & excellent quality - made from scratch onsite everyday by people who care about what they do. BTP Salisbury opened in one of Salisbury’s most historic buildings, the Old George Inn which dates back to 1314. It would be hard to overstate the historical significance & pedigree of this Grade 1 listed building. William Shakespeare is believed to have performed one of his plays in its courtyard, Oliver Cromwell slept here on his way to join the army, Samuel Pepys wrote about the Inn in his diary after a stay & both H G Wells & Charles Dickens made mentioned of it in their writings.

“Lunch”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

I had butterniut squash and feta cheese salad, with pine nuts and black olives. Mr Smith had the soup. Neither of us had any of the delicious cakes! Lunch for two, plus 2 mugs of coffee came to £15, and I consider that was good value for money. The restaurant is in a very interesting old building - worth going just to have a look at the old plasterwork and woodcarvings.

“Great brunch spot with friendly service!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in before our Salisbury outing and glad we did! The selection was a nice combination of breakfast and lunch so the perfect spot for brunch! I tried the spinach florentine and was happy I did!
Service was friendly and atmosphere was nice in a unique listed building.
Would recommend!

“Brilliant café but not quite up to the Bristol standard”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Been to this one a couple of times for lunch when working in Salisbury. The food and coffee are outstanding, by far the best coffee chain around. I had an olive, hummus and roasted red pepper and tomato baguette, possibly the best baguette I've ever had. My only observation is that the atmosphere is not quite as lively and friendly as the outlets in Bristol, probably because of the different customer profiles in Salisbury compared to Bristol.

Would highly recommend for anyone seeking a good coffee or creative lunch from an independent brand.

“Good lunchtime stop”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

We stopped for a quick mid-shopping lunch, and ordered beef and veggie burgers. These arrived promptly, and were tasty. We were also quite tempted by the large selection of cakes. Downside is the large number of stairs and no lift which made for a challenge with a buggy as we didn't want to eat downstairs (next to the freezing cold door!). Next time I'd be tempted to try some of their sandwiches which looked really nice.
