St Thomas of Ease is right in the city centre and shouldn't be missed. Built the same year as the cathedral one feels very much at ease within this church. A wonderful doom painting dominates the center and is explained with some sense of humor.
I happened to walk into a very intimate service on Thanksgiving/harvest sunday evening and was welcomed personally by the priest and the small community.

This is where the workers building the cathedral prayed on Sundays. The wonderful doom painting on the rood arch, only rediscovered in late nineteenth century, is probably the largest in the country

A beautiful perpendicular gothic building, a real city church. Contains the largest 'Doom' painting in the country - a mediaeval picture of the Day of Judgement. Well worth a visit..

We went to my daughter's school Carol Service here in December. The atmosphere is calm and serene. The church was decorated beautifully. It is an oasis of calm in Salisbury City Centre. A must see place.
