Called in here for the first time before a theatre evening in Salisbury and was absolutely delighted.
Shown to a typical brasserie table with just enough room for all the necessary bits and pieces. Our waiter Josh was full of life and a really happy chap since he knew what we were in for. Ordered red wine and our food and said we were short of time and going to the theatre.
We ordered Tuna Carpaccio with sauce vierge followed by Roast Cod. Allergies were catered for and the starters arrived very quickly. The Tuna Carpaccio had been seared by looking at the griddle before being finely sliced to cover the plate. The Sauce Vierge was fantastic and complimented the Tuna as if they were married - a really great dish!.
The Roast Cod was crispy topped and sitting on a bed of small vegetables in a magnificent creamy wine sauce. The fish was snow white and beautifully cooked. This is probably the best fish dish I have ever eaten. The Chocolate Mousse was so light it was like heaven and my Tarte Fine aux Pommes and Icecream - well the pastry had been created by angels who were pretty good at making icecream too. What a great meal and we were billed and able to leave 15 minutes before the show. Definitely going here again.
