We just happened to come upon this pub while walking around Salisbury. Loved the pub atmosphere and friendly service. Fish and chips were great, as well as the ale. I had a vegetarian dish, which was one of the best goat cheese tarts I've ever eaten! As we'll be in the area for the next week, we'll definitely be returning. Very reasonably priced, as well!

We missed the carvery by a couple of hours but the landlord offered us either roast beef or roast pork dinner plated and delivered to our table. My husband and I both had roast beef dinner. It was brilliant! Tender beef with lots of tasty gravy. Roasted potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. A separate plate of coked veggies to share had a generous portion of three different veggies. Pudding choices were varied . We tried the Eaton Mess which is berries, meringue and whipped cream and an apple berry crumble with custard. Definitely recomend

During a three night stay in Salisbury, i ate here twice. Had the fish and chips and beef and ale pie. The service was outstanding, food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Generous servings, too. As staff passed, asked if they could get me anything else, and if i was enjoying the meal. Food was inexpensive too.
As a solo traveller i often feel self conscious, but the atmosphere here was relaxed and comfortable. Housed in a stunning 14th century building with low beams and a real charm.

The Cloisters is a treat for food!

we booked a table for late afternoon, the beer of choice was a local brew called SummerLightning... (awesome stuff!) and the pub keeps it very well.

Food was simply great, and the service from the LandLord himself....

an all round great experience that will be repeated

We are a family of 5 made up of 2 grandchildren, ages 10 and 13,our daughter and the two older adults,

We arrived in Salisbury by way of Houston to LHR, took a bus to Woking Rail station, trained to Salisbury where we are staying At the Cathedral View B &B whose owners suggested we try the Cloisters for lunch. Three of us had Fish and Chips which arrived promptly and were very good. the boys had cheese burgers also recommended.

The Pub is jsut up the street from the B &B, across the street from the Salisbury Cathedral and centrally located so anyone can find it.

The food was good,, fresh and the wait staff were efficient..

We would recommend the pub to anyone
