“Good Pub Food”

The food was good, the service was attentive and the price was right. They had some interesting ciders and drafts. What more can you ask for?

“lovely service and tasty food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2014

Went for a carvery at The Cloisters today. Food was very tasty and the service was attentive and friendly. The only thing I would say is that you couldn't choose how many roast potatoes you wanted and as not the cheapest carvery around I think you should be able to choose your own portion sizes. Very generous portions of meat though.

“Delicious carvery!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2014

Went to the cloisters today for an Easter Sunday carvery. We were shown to our table (four people a pushchair and a highchair) it was very squashed even for four plates on the table. However we appreciate it's a busy day and the restaurant was full so didn't ask to move. We weren't told whether we had to go and order drinks and meals at the bar or if it was waiter service, so we had a little wait before asking someone who informed us a waiter would be over shortly. We ordered 3 carveries and one vegetarian option. The waiter informed us when the vegetarian option was ready (ratatouille) and we could go up and get our carvery. The meat and
Vegetables were lovely. Everyone enjoyed the meal including the ratatouille. Afterwards our plates were collected and we had another wait until our desserts arrived. I had the brownie and it was gorgeous! Warm atmosphere with a log fire you can sit and have a drink around. Overall lovely meal really enjoyed it ... We will come again and recommend to friends. :)

“real BBQ in an original environment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2014 via mobile

We went to Salisbury to visit Stonehenge and Highclere castle and stayed just one night. The reviews on Tripadvisor are totally true. At the cloisters you get really decent BBQ and also plenty of it. The Ribs are huge and cooked ling enough to be absolutely tender. The mixed grill is real men's food and awesome. You even get a special large knife for the platter. Altogether the right choice after a long day hiking around Stonehenge.
