“Recommend the Spire Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

We had a lovely visit to Salisbury Cathedral. We booked on a Spire tour and there was only myself, my husband and two girls on the entire tour, so it was a great experience. Our tour guide was slightly acerbic, but funny with it and knowledgeable. Going up into the roof space was amazing, you cannot help but admire the Mediaeval engineering. There are many steps - 329 I think, so probably not for the faint of heart, but you get a brilliant 360 view from the top (well not quite at the top of the spire, but near enough) I recommend this to complete your Cathedral visit.

“Exquisite!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

I visited several cathedrals in England in April 2012 and the Salisbury Cathedral was my favorite. The extensive statuary on the outside of the building is amazing, but I walked inside I got chills up and down my spine. Everything from the stained glass, especially the beautiful main glass, the woodwork of the quire and ceiling tile work is just exquisite!

“Englands finest cathedral”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

A breathtaking building in a wonderful location an absolute must visit for any trip to Wiltshire. Visit here and Stonehenge and you've probably done the two greatest buildings in the UK. I am a little biased as, although I haven't lived in Salisbury for over 50 years, I was born and grew up there.

What's most irritating is the demand for cash as you go in (like all major cathedrals in the UK) ailthough if you know your way around it's easy enough to get in free!

“Magna Carta”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

A very majestic cathedral and the interior is fascinating. There is a copy of the magna carta available to view too. No trip to Salisbury would be complete without visiting this grand cathedral.
