went here for a nice lunch in the sun. The food was pretty nice only downside was trying to cross the road from the car park to the pub.

Thank you for your feedback. It is quite busy crossing from our large car park, however, we are very conveniently located on the A36 for Salisbury, Stonehenge, Wilton and a great stop off if traveling to and from Bath/Bristol or Southampton/Portsmouth.

I am glad you enjoyed your visit.

“Lunch visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

Called in for lunch with some friends. Very good choice of meals, from snacks, set lunches and the usual pub regulars. We chose from the latter. Food quite good, but nothing special. The prawn cocktails came in a huge goblet, which the shorter of our company had some difficulty eating without tipping, out onto a plate. Our pies were tasty and quite filling. The only downside was that the veg was quite cold. No room for desserts however. Good atmosphere in the pub, which was quite quiet. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. We would return.

Thanks for taking the time to feedback. I was very sorry to hear your veg was cold - please do not hesitate to ever tell us if something is not right - we would much prefer to put it right than leave you less than satisfied with your meal.

“Good in parts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Excellent service in very pleasant surroundings. Food a mixed bag. I had their fajitas - fairly good and impressive when arrived sizzling in skillet. My wife had game pie. Disappointing. Very little meat. Poorly presented with chips that were not really up to standard.
Pudding also disappointing. Bread and butter pudding. One of my favourite old time puds - You know like my mother used to make - but this one wasn't. We had a 1/2 price deal and for that it was reasonable. But if I had been paying full price I would not have been happy!

Thank you for your feedback and I am glad that you found our pub pleasant and that you enjoyed your sizzling fajitas! It is a shame our bread and butter pudding didn't come up to your mum's standard - we generally get great feedback about our desserts. If you are ever unhappy with any aspect of your meal- please let us know and we will change it for you. We would much rather do that than you leave less than satisfied with your food. We hope to welcome you back in the future.
