My girlfriend and I stayed at Avonlea House for one night back in May, and we had a fantastic experience.
Jackie and John were incredibly welcoming. Jackie briefly explained the ins and outs of staying at the house, offered some helpful advice when we mentioned we were heading into town about how to get there, and then left us with a welcome pack and some discount cards for restaurants in town.
The house and room were very comfy, beautifully decorated and immaculately kept.
It's well located; a twenty minute walk into town, and only 5 minutes to the Old Sarum castle which is also worth a visit. It was only a short drive to Stonehenge too.
Breakfast the next day was again wonderful. A good range of choices was available and was served promptly even when my order was changed at the last minute.
'Checking Out' was straight forward as we simply handed our key over.
I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone!
