I have to admit that never I would have never chosen this restaurant, not keen on Japanese food but this was something else, not just a restaurant but a unique dining experience.
We were part of a group of ten and quite normally all arrived at own slight variations of our agreed time, so we were seated in the bar, then once we had all arrived we were moved into another seating area where we placed our food & drinks order. To eat your food you taken to sit around a large grilled where you can watch the show of your meal being cooked and even take part at times. The food was very good and seasoned to your own taste, as much as possible when cooking for a group. After the starter and main we were moved back into the bar area for desert.
We felt the constant musical chairs was a little too much and at times we all felt rushed, plates being cleared before everyone had finished, staff hovering a little too closely, etc.
For what we ate and the dining experience you can’t grumble at the prices but be careful as drinks are wildly expensive making it feel like you haven’t had value for money.
Worth noting that when booking you are required to leave a £10 deposit per person, you also have to arrive promptly as they allocate a strict time limit for each party to be sat at a griddle.
