This is a cafe.

It serves Japanese Food.

The service is quick.

The food is delicious.

These 4 statements sum up Fuji Hiro perfectly, as this is all it is. A cafe that serves delicious Japanese food! Very authentic and no frills means that you can simply enjoy the food, and enjoy it I have many a time!

Whether it's just a quick snack, or something more substantial, whatever you order is speedily delivered and has amazing flavour!

Service is very quick and friendly.

If you're looking for fancy-pants beautiful decor with appropriate muzak and 5-star "yes-sir, no-sir" service, do not go here, but...
if you fancy a place to hang out with a couple of mates, and/or grab a quick meal before going onto somewhere else - get stuck in!!

Don't be fooled by the exterior - it's the food you are there for.

Visited with a group of 6. Lovely food and good service. Drinks on the slightly pricey side but overall good value and large portions. Will be returning.

The charm of Fuji Hiro is that feels like a honest Japanese cafe rather than an upscale restaurant with prices to match. Unlike in Japan you choose from a range of Japanese culinary traditions though there something to said for this when it comes to tempura. I decided to take a break from my usual choices of dumplings followed by ramen from previous visits, which may explain it did not feel the same, though the decor has changed since my last visit to central Leeds. I had chilli beef goya which were good, vegetable tempura, generous & different take, and a fried noodle dish with prawns, tofu and peanuts which was good but next time I will return to having chilli beef ramen for main. Some places are good and some have nostalgia and Fuji Hiro has it spades and for me i discovered it is best to stick with old favourites from the reasonably extensive and priced menu. Still a good place to take kids because they tend to love dumplings and older bods who love simpler favours of ramen. The fried noodles being fried can seem a bit oily for taste of some. Great place if on a budget, if they could perfect tempura it would be heaven.

I eat at Fuji Hiro very regularly or ten years now and the standard of food and service is always spot on! The best prawn gyoza I have EVER had (and this is including trips to Singapore and Japan!) and the spicy chicken men is unsurpassable! I love love love this resturant and would recommend it to anyone as one of the most authentic japanese noodle bar experiences you can have outside of Japan! I've never been disappointed and anyone who I've recommended this to has adored it as well! Give it a go! (Plus I always have a little sneaking satisfaction about finding somewhere that doesn't have/need a website!).
