Flying Pizza is an established institution in Leeds. We went for lunch, and wanted something special and extra before we headed off on holiday - we were not disappointed. The range of food available is astonishing, both on the standard and the specials menu, and the service is very attentive. We chose the tartare of tuna (magnificent) and the mussels mariniere (excellent and just the right amount of cream) as starters, followed by the lemon sole and the mixed grilled fish, both of which were lovely. The side dishes were also good, particularly the zucchini - probably the best I've had. We chose a glass of white wine each, a chardonnay and a vermentino - different but both excellent, and went well with the food. The only slight quibble we had was that we thought the fish was slightly overcooked to qualify as perfect - perhaps that's what the clientele wants, but a shame nevertheless. The low ceiling means that it can be very noisy and difficult to have a romantic night out, but does give a good buzz. Recommended.
