The food was good, but no better than you can get at other good Italian restaurants. But: (1) £19.00 for a bottle of house wine - are you joking?; and (2) they add a 10 per cent "discretionary" service charge to the bill - why? Particularly when there is no assurance given that it goes to the serving staff. All that does is put the customer in the lose/lose situation of creating an awkward and embarrassing scene by asking for it to be removed, or paying it and leaving feeling annoyed. I'll happily tip, but at my discretion, not at what feels like the restaurant's compulsion. That lost them one star on the rating.
