We went to Hansa's as a large group celebrating a birthday and a fair few were slightly fearful of a completely vegetarian menu, however everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and it made such a nice change to eat indian dishes that tasted so different.
There are no Kormas or rogan josh on this menu, but instead a nice selection of traditional Indian dishes, the sort of food you would find in an Indian family home.
Highlights for me was the batura bread and the chapattis were the best I've tasted in a restaurant. I had the Ondhiyu curry with khachadi khadi rice and it was fantastic, fairy spicy but this is how I like it. A few brave souls in our party asked for the food hot and it certainly was!!
The service was attentive and the waitresses were helpful in explaining what the dishes were and recommending what goes best together.
The value for money was excellent and there is a nice ambiance to the place with a lovely warm welcome from the owners.
I shall definitely be back and am now a convert to vegetarian food. Thanks again to Hansa's for a wonderful evening.
