Ve just been to this hotel on a Saturday night with a bunch of girls for a birthday.. The room is basic but expect at £17 we paid the bed was very hard and 1pillow should really have 2.theres no towels in room but go to reception and ask they happy to give you some. The noise problem must have been sorted as I heard not much and when I did to security men were there straight away. The rooms were clean so had no problem. When we were ready to go out the staff were helpful orders us a taxi which was £5 to clubs. The hotel is very handy for youngens wouldn't advise for family's or business really. But would return for price we paid and what we got.

My husband and I booked a room for just £18 a few weeks prior to our stay, which enabled us to stay over in Leeds following the 2.8 hours later zombie chase event. I'd stayed here previously (when it was the newly opened Etap) and was impressed by the cleanliness back then, however it has gone downhill somewhat since.

On arrival early evening we waited at reception to check in for a good 5 minutes before I decided to interrupt the two staff who were engrossed in a slightly panicked conversation and chose to ignore us throughout, despite our presence. We were given two key cards for the room, allocated a room on the first floor. It was exactly how I remembered but not as fresh and modern. The bedding was clean, as was the toilet and shower which are the main points covered but the walls, carpets and sides were filthy! Put it this way, I wouldn't touch the walls and I had to put my shoes on as I got out of the shower.

We were very rudely awoken in the early hours of the morning by some stupid, inconsiderate girls drunkenly shouting at full volume down the corridor. Not the hotels fault at all, but I do feel that these girls should've been thrown out by security, who were scrupulous in regards to guests showing their door cards as they stumbled in by the way. Budget hotel it may be, but as a minimum requirement guests should be able to sleep!

We didn't experience the breakfast in the morning, however we did use the vending machines for a hot drink when we came back from our event. Tokens were purchased at reception to put into the machine and although pricey, the drinks were palatable.

We would stay again if nothing else was available-at a push. I'd rather pay an extra £20 and stay at a Premier Inn or Jurys Inn where I can at least bear to walk barefoot on the carpets.

Room Tip: if you'd like less noise ask for a room facing the back of the hotel, away from the road.

We booked this hotel for two nights, two rooms at a very very cheap price. The hotel from the outside very clean and smart, part of a housing tower complex. The reception was clean and tidy, pleasant staff. Not over endowed with smiles, conversation, directions but nice nonetheless. On going up to the room the hotel lift smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. The corridoor was clean and no mess, some rooms being cleaned as we arrived. On opening the room it was pongy of cigarette smoke! What is it with smokers??? Can't they smoke outside its banned inside FGS! My daughters room was a little better, but hot as on the sunny side of the hotel. On trying to use the air con in both of the rooms it didnt work in either. The temperature switch had broken off in one room and just didn't work in mine! - we gave up! I think the rooms could do with a paint and new carpets. The concept of basic was just that. Although going to the loo in what looked like a cupboard from the outside was...... The shower cubicle was fine with good water pressure and sufficient room. Could have done with a small towel for the floor to drip on. The linen was clean and crisp but the towels could do with renewing- getting a little thin. These were changed daily, more than you get in some other budget places! The small tv worked fine and we had no problem with noise from other guests. When we came in one evening the reception single staff member was having a problem with some guests trying to fit 4 into one room- how they where doing it I cant imagine! He dealt with this very calmly and offered them various solutions that we overheard. They were just trying to cause problems and not book another room but he was very good, keeping his cool all the time. Overall I think this hotel is a comfortable as any youth hostel and as my title suggests for £17 a room per night I couldn't realistically ask for more.

Stayed a midweek night and were very satisfied. £18.00 for a double room - clean, comfortable bed, warm and a good shower. Were slightly worried there may be traffic noise as we were only on 2nd floor but not an issue at all. Late checkout (12 midday). Centrally located.

Yes, the rooms may be on the small side and are basic but have everything you need and all for £9 pppn in a city centre ?? Can't complain.

We stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting friends in Leeds... when checking in I was literally thrown the room key and told the room number, no directions for how to get there, what floor, etc. I had to ask where the stairs, lifts were as this information was not provided.
The room was clean with a fabulous shower but the bed was rock hard with a plastic covering over the mattress that did not give at all making for a very bad night's sleep. There is no parking and the wardens basically stand on the car park opposite waiting for 7.30 to strike when the charges apply... make sure you are there on time, we just about made it!
