What a lovely park in Leeds! You could walk around here all day and not get fed up of it! There is a beautiful lake which you can walk around, lovely parks for the children to play in and a lovely grand building at the top of the park. The park also has a cafe in which you can buy lunch and drinks, which I believe is slightly overpriced however you can take a packed lunch or picnic and enjoy the park without having to pay the silly cafe prices. If you do get a chance to go, there is also a place called tropical world over the street from the park which houses some lovely exotic creatures, which is fun for the kids and the entry prices are not too expensive! For the adults if your looking for a nice lunch out right next to the park is a pub called the Roundhay Fox, does excellent lunches and is a great place to eat out! Overall lovely little place to visit and I'm sure I'll be going back to at some point in time!

This is a park full of everything you can enjoy.. it has a beautiful lake you can take a relaxing stroll around it with your dog while you enjoy the beautful senery! Or have a good old healthy jog! Wide area of grass space for picnic, great pub nearby for a relax drink or food, plus a greenhouse with exotic animal like meerkats and butterfy. When you're tired of walking, theres a lakeside cafe overlook the beautiful lakes with swans and birds! Ther's also a small cafe near the buterfly house. Its a fabulous park to spend a day out with family or friends or a short walk by yourself! I'm proud to live near it!

We visit here a lot, mostly with children, but it really has something to appeal to everyone.
Huge open spaces with some beautiful trees, especially nice in Autumn. Lakes with a variety of birds - ducks, swans etc.
Many squirrels which are a delight to watch. There's a small children's playground but to be honest we rarely use this as the children enjoy being able to run around freely without fear of traffic etc.
Car parking is always easy (midweek anyway) with several car parks around the park and a long, wide access road with car parking at either side.
There is a little, good quality gift shop attached to The Mansion and this also incorporates toilets. The Mansion itself has what looks like a tea room/restaurant open to the public but it always looks a bit too posh to take muddy, exuberant children in!
Most people who live in Leeds will have been to Roundhay Park, I'm sure, but if you're visiting or new to the area you really must make an effort to go. You won't regret it.
