Got lost getting to the hotel, but Leeds seemed a nightmare to drive round, only ring road i know of that isn't round! Nothing to do with the hotel though...

Hotel was pleasant enough although decor was a bit dated, room was perfectly clean and tidy, shower was fantastic!!!... second experience with ibis in this country and the staff stood out again... it was nice to be welcomed by a smiling face... Breakfast was above average

The trip to Leeds was probably a one off but would definitely stay here next time

Stayed just one night for a training course, checked in with the smiling receptionist and went to my warm, clean and quiet room. Yes the rooms are basic but just what was needed for a budget stay in a city centre.

Breakfast was very good, especially after one or two of the reviews I read on Tripadvisor prior to booking the hotel. I ate all I could from the all-you-can-eat buffet and the quality of the food was above average in my opinion. I certainly got my £6 worth. The fresh croissants were especially good.(and hot).

I would definitely consider Ibis hotels again based on my experience with this one.

After driving for a whole day from the Highlands, we had no accommodation booked and had to walk into hotels to check for availabilities.

Due to this, we managed to find availbility in Ibis, not knowing they had no parking onsite. Parking for the hotel is across in the middle of the road on a constructed island/roundabout, guest to pay their own parking expense. As we arrived late at Saturday night, we only had to pay 1pound for the rest of the night.

Breakfast is not included. We paid 65pound overnight for our double room. The room is better than the Ibis Amsterdam Centre. However, again the aircondition doens't work, it doesn't cool only heats. Despite the bathroom being clean, I discovered dried blood on one of the towels! So I used my partner's towel instead.

Check in and out was easy and fuss free.

The hotel looks like every other Ibis, but I was much less satisfied than usual. The location is poor - a quarter of an hour's walk from the station away from the city centre, next to some large and busy roads. The room was uncomfortably warm, the cooling system was ineffective, and the traffic noise made it impossible to leave the window open. I discovered too late that the shower gel / shampoo dispenser was empty. The internet and pay TV service wasn't working. There was a fire alarm at 5 in the morning - no evacuation, but an unwelcome wake up call. Reception said that it was caused by cooking in the kitchen, but suggestions that a reduction in the bill might be appropriate were ignored. All in all, a very poor performance that undermined my previously high opinion of Ibis.

OK will keep this short and sweet. The hotel is fine, location is Ok and you get what you pay for. However the staff seem to be all juniors and under training from my observations. When I arrived with 4 other colleagues checkin was pretty slow. One chap on reception was on the fone and the other seemed to take forever to check another guest in. Eventually we were attended too but they couldn't find our reservations on the system. We eventually got them to find the fax that had been sent through and they started to check us in. However there were discrepanacies with the booking compared to what we had requested ie free internet access and breakfast included. That upped the price of the rooms :-( It took about 20 mins to eventually get checked in and get our keys....

Rooms are ok but I've had bigger and better for a similar price with DAYS Hotels. The bar and dining area were OK, used also for breakfast. But Breakfast is not full English so be aware. Hot sausages and a very small omelete are the hot things, as well as a selection of pastries, ceriels etc. Beware the toaster has one element not working so only one side of your bread gets toasted - stick to the right hand 2 slices :-)

In a number of our rooms the aircon wasn't working and even though we reported this it never got fixed over the 3 days we were there.

All in all the hotel is OK but lax in customer service.......

This was a two-night stay and being done on a budget. So two nights at £52 per night seemed OK. Actually, it turned out to be very good value. The hotel looks modern and the rooms are well maintained. Some are being repainted at the moment.

Check in was good and the receptionist, Paul, made us feel welcome. The rooms are compact but adequate for a stay where I spent hardly any time in the room. TV has basic channels and movies and internet can be added for up to £9.99 per night. The shower was good and the room was very clean.

Only downside was my complete inability to get the air-heater/cooler to work in the room!

Hotel has a good bar which was busy. Cold continental breakfast was available but at £6.99 seemed a bit expensive. There's a Starbucks close by which we used both mornings.

Hotel is a 15 minute walk from Leeds railway station and the shopping area.

Would certainly use again.

Stayed here for a single night
Room pretty basic; bed comfortable, no comfy chair, just a weird built-in bench arrangement
Bathroom ok - nothing special, but was clean

Location is fairly ropey - not a lot around other than a TGI Fridays

Not bad for the price
