“Clean the windows ,the tables and condemn the toilets.”
Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

Cake and Tea was lovely but the staff serving were talking amongst themselves rather than serving customers. Its a beautiful room but we could hardly see in through the filthy windows. Although there was about 10 empty tables only one had been wiped clean. The toilets are best avoided .

“Nice”
Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

Everything about this place just seemed okay. I mean it's a very pretty room and the coffee is decent but I wouldn't feel comfortable to hang out for long here which is what I'm ultimately looking for with a cafe. I don't really want to have to wait 5 minutes at the bar for my coffee to be made either.
It's nice to sit at the window but the stools are really uncomfortable (too high for the table).

“Town Centre Gem”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

As the gallery didn't open until noon my wife and I decided to have lunch here. We thought the food was of a high quality and imaginatively prepared. All this at a reasonable price in impressive surroundings and a friendly and helpful staff

“Chic city centre spot for lunch or snacks”
Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

What really sells this place is in the name - this expansive and stunning hall is an inviting space to catch up with friends over a bite to eat. And in my opinion the food doesnt let it down. They have a good but not overwhelming selection of dishes such a filled bagels, wraps, salads and cakes, all displayed fresh so youknow what you are getting. They also have flexible soup sandwich and salad combos for the indecisive! Prices are reasonable too. We ordered two salads (which I wouldn't usually do as they seem a boring choice, but the ones in the counter looked amazing) and a cake and were very impressed. Would return again!

“The tiled hall has the wow factor in spades.”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

This is my favourite place to visit for lunch, whenever I am visiting Leeds. It is inside the art gallery, and adjacent to the Henry Moore, so I always visit these two galleries after a splendid lunch here.
The tiled hall has the wow factor in spades, and is a must see, even if you don't stop for lunch.
PS Afternoon tea here is pretty special too!
