This is one of the many independents along Woodhosue Lane and is one of the best. The coffee is superb and made with care and attention. Starbucks it ain't thank goodness. The coffee maybe a bit strong for some tastes but I love it. Soup is always good value and served with a chunk of bread. The breakfasts are large, well presented and very tasty. Porridge is terrific value at just £1.50 and is well made and not at all stodgy. It is served with honey to give it a sweet edge. As others say it does get busy at lunchtimes but at other times you are served quickly and effeciently. There is even a back couryard to sit out in and take advantage of the sun what more could you want?

Normally come here to chillout with caffeine at lunchtime and tis usually busy but they have a great outdoor space and plenty of cool seats. Coffee is always really really really well made even during busy times they come with latte art on top, they use a old manual machine that you pump by hand, I've never seen one before so it's great to watch and the coffees tastes amazing, there homemade cakes are awesome aswell.

I recently visited a Leeds University Open Day with my sister and niece and after a long journey up we were so pleased to find this little place open and buzzing with atmosphere even though it wasn't particularly busy at 09:20! We bought three beautiful cappuccinos complete with pretty pictures on the top and 2 pieces of cake and it was definitely value for money. The coffee and cakes were lovely and the staff very friendly and chatty. So much so, we decided to pop back for lunch before we travelled back down south. We had some beautiful homemade soup (vegetable barley I believe) and a salad with pesto covered pasta. Both were delicious and I cannot wait to visit my niece should she decide she wishes to study in Leeds. Well worth a visit if you're local or even just passing through.

Stunning coffee and awesome food, especially the soup of the day. It is directly across the street from the Parkinson Building and Brotherton Library at the University of Leeds. Beware the lunch rush though, it gets packed between 12 and 1!

Great coffee, great soup, well priced, great service. Lovely place. Sadly it's just sometimes so popular it can be hard to get a seat!
