We walked by this place a million times before we finally went in for a bite to eat and a drink (or two). Simply fantastic food!!! Great as a whole meal to have the meats in combination with bread and olives. The beers they had on tap were a great accompaniment!!!

The downstairs is surprisingly large as well - definitely a great place to hide away with some friends for an afternoon/evening and have a few pints, enjoy some company and great food.

If you haven't already gone, what are you waiting for? GO!!

If you like a bit of Spanish sausage you can get it Friends of Ham. In Andalusia and Extremadura (visited recently in a red Fiat 500) they say that a little patience goes a long way and it will be rewarded in spades. I have no idea what that last bit means. Why is everyone in such a hurry ?

I want to take as long as I want to order and the kitchen can take as long as it takes to do their stuff.

This is a great place to eat, drink, relax, read a book, a paper, play a game, chat etc. I'm sure there are loads of other things you could do here to have a good time. You could probably take your own game if you wanted to which would be a first.

However, the gents needs sorting out. It is impossible to get into without wiping the loo with your trouserage and the seat won't stay up.

They have a great range of beers, a good wine list that is reasonably priced. The food plates of good quality cheese and meats, they might not be a full meal but they certainly take the edge off any hunger pangs. The atmosphere never fails, cheerfully informal and the ability to get table service makes life so much easier downstairs.

Why the hype?
Brought in a new booking system to this horrid claustrophobic dive. Over priced and not even that tasty. Avoid.

What a gem of a little place! You can't help but be tempted by all the wonderful things as soon as you walk in. A very long what at the bar and to be eventually told that I wasn't seen though he had walked in front of me at least 4 times whilst serving another customer. The room downstairs is a heaven for chilled out catch up's and relaxing, but get there early as it filled up quickly as the evening reached 6/7pm. We order two platters of 2 meats and 2 cheese and they were both absolutely delicious - the recommended ham was delicious and the cheese were amazing. Shame the less than teaspoon worth of pickle that came with it and even when requested more was replaced by an even smaller amount - surely it can cost that much for pickle when your paying £14 each? Overall a wonderful early evening after work and would recommend to anyone who loves good meat and cheese and real ales. Just a shame those little extras were a bit too much for staff.
