Leeds is awash with modern bars - wine bars, cocktail bars and champagne bars. But if you know where to look, the quintessential british pub still thrives - just!
The Scarbrough (known to the locals as the Scabbie Taps) is one of the few traditional hostelries where a pint of Tetley's bitter can still be bought, enjoyed and not break the bank! Traditional it may be. Dated decor there may be. Buit don't be fooled. This place hums on a weekend and is a traditional meeting place for singles, couples, groups, young and old alike.
I've been drinking here for 20 years and more and the beer is as good as ever. A Leeds institution!
