An amazing tea shop in the Grand arcade is the Grand tea rooms. It feels like stepping back in time. It was like the all creatures great and small set. Menus are on old LP records and the staff dress in 50s period. All furniture and crockery are in period too. Do not miss going for high tea. It's incredible.

It's lovely to see this Arcade has come to life once again. Now full of independant outlets upstairs and down. There are tables and chairs to dine at outside the Roots and Fruits vegetarian restaurant, Just Grand! Vintage Team Room and Casa Colombiana coffee and tapas bar - all where you can watch the men come out of the now working again Potts clock as they bow on the hour. It's like going back in time. And then there's all the arts and crafty, clothing places, hairdressers, etc.. I'll let you into a little secret too - up the spiral stairs in Casa Colombiana there's more - vintage clothing, more arts and crafts and a silversmith who is taking bespoke commissions for that special bit of jewellery. I couldn't resist ordering a piece for my wife's birthday! Wonderful

We are pleased you like the Arcade, since your review we have split the large nightclub units up to create smaller shop and restaurant units, so we now have alot more units in the Arcade, that has improved the tenant mix. The Grand Arcade has undergone alot of investment recently and over the last few months The Traditional Shaving Co, Just Grand! Vintage Tea Rooms, Our Handmade Collective, Casa Colombiana, Roots & Fruits (under new ownership), Wadzi, Twit Woo Vintage Boutique, Simcha Gallery, My Vibrant Home & Summerhouse have all taken space in the Arcade, and we will soon be announcing the names of further businesses that are to open to enhance the shopping arcade as the hub for independent retail in Leeds, so the Arcade is on the up.

After many years of not working we are pleased to say we have fixed the clock as part of our recent refurbishment of the Arcade.

The Arcade and our new traders have been getting positive press recently, and we hope that you choose to visit the Arcade again in the near future.

This place certainly needs some money spent on it, to rekindle it's past glory & live up to its name.
It's problem is that Leeds shopping has moved away from the Northern Quarter & therefore it is unlikely to receive the funding it deserves, which is a real shame.

The Grand Arcade has undergone alot of investment over the last few months and is now nearly fully let, we have also fixed the clock, which is now working again. Walked through the arcade on way to the Grand Theatre, apart from the clock tower monument thing at the Vicar lane end, nothing seemed to be as I remembered it from my youth, there seemed to be a lot of vacant units and what were taken seemed very drab, or was it because it was early evening, I don't know, but what I will say is that the arcade would benefit from being livened up with some bright coloured shops and window displays, although it now seems to be at the wrong end of town, there are still plenty of people come to this end of Leeds for various reasons, so come on Leeds city council, encourage people back and invest in the arcade.

The Arcade used to be home to the Tower Cinema, with Leeds bus station on Vicar Lane, which you are right both created taffic through the Arcade. Both closed some years ago, and the Arcade became more leisure focused. However with the closure of the nighclubs in the Arcade, we have split the large units up to create smaller shop and restaurant units, so we now have alot more units in the Arcade, that has improved the tenant mix. The Grand Arcade has undergone alot of investment recently and over the last few months The Traditional Shaving Co, Just Grand! After many years of not working we are pleased to say we have fixed the clock as part of our recent refurbishment of the Arcade.

Roots and Fruits is under new ownership and has received some very good press recently, and the the Arcade is now home to two new food independents to Just Grand! Vintage Tea Rooms and Casa Colombiana.

The Arcade and our new traders have been getting positive press recently, and we hope that you choose to visit the Arcade again in the near future and have a better experience.
