“What a welcome!”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Recommended by a friend who certainly wasn't wrong.
A very warm welcome as we arrived, great customer service throughout our meal.
Everyone was happy with their food choices, good portion size and value for money.
Go and see for yourself.

“Great, little restaurant, that is soon to be much bigger”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

I went for lunch with my wife. we has the hot mezze for two and it was fantastic, which I had also ordered hummus, because that and the bread where fantastic. the Mezze was great, the Cypriot cheese was a surprise and I loved it. I had a spicy kebab and my wife had lamb chops, both where great but the lamb chops where the best, I will have these next time. Service was good, staff friendly.

“Good food”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

Tasty food especially the starter. Bit disappointed with portion for main course. Good to go somewhere quite different to normal venues. Pretty small place - book a table to make sure you get in ?

“Friendly, delicious, generous food”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

It's not at all prepossessing, in a little parade of shops on the main road through Rodley. But it immediately gives you that authentic relaxed, informal feel that anyone who has been to Turkey will recognise. It's very tiny, BUT they are about to expand to around 60 covers (from memory) in November. The food was just scrumptious - grilled meat done to perfection, then aubergines, peppers, rice etc. etc., all full of great flavours - but always letting the natural taste of the first-class ingredients come through, not overwhelming it with seasoning or spices. The kitchen, in the present premises, takes up pretty well half the restaurant, and is wide open to public view - spotlessly clean, always good to see!
I went with two profoundly deaf friends, and they were treated respectfully and helpfully, and all of us felt happy and well looked after. Food came promptly, even though they were very busy - in fact the longest we had to wait was for the bill! That seems a healthy sign to me.
We were there on a Sunday afternoon eating quite late; but by the time we left - around 4.15 - already the place was filling up once again. It's obviously become seriously popular with locals, because many of the tables were occupied at various times by large family groups.
They work very hard to make this a wholly enjoyable and happy experience; I wish Ephesus well for its new expanded business, and can't wait to go again and view the new 'shop'. (Incidentally, despite my comments about the location, it is actually a very pleasant spot, with a bend of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal just around the corner, perfect for a post-prandial stroll!)

“Fab”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

We visited this restaurant for the first time on the basis of some great reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. At the moment it is a tiny restaurant (although there are plans to extend next door) but it has a lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive, without being in your face.
We ordered the restaurant taster special which for £20 a head for 3 courses represented fantastic value. We got a huge plate of mixed starters including houmous, stuffed peppers and feta & spinach rolls, all of which were delicious and beautifully presented. We were then greeted with a platter of mixed mains- chicken, lamb, fresh bread, rice, salad- all fresh tasting and well cooked. Dessert was a choice of choice of lemon cheesecake, choc fudge cake or baklava. We had the baklava served warm with ice cream and it was delicious.
This is a gem of a restaurant with lovely food and great service, all at a reasonable price. It is definitely worth travelling for and we will definitely return.
