“Centrally Located.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

Whilst away with friends in Leeds we picked this hotel for its central location. The hotel itself is very tidy and clean, the rooms spacious and well maintained.

There is a car park adjacent to the hotel, which is a little pricey (£26 for 2 days in our case) however for a city center you have to accept this to a certain extent.

The breakfasts were good and had plenty of variety from cooked English to continental.

If I return to Leeds I would most certainly stay here again.

A fantastic hotel. As a family we booked a business class room for 2adults and 2 older children. There was loads of space for a family of four. In the morning the buffet style breakfast was amazing and as 1 of us is a coeliac , i was able to eat no problem . The bedroom fittings and daily essentials were outstanding. I will definitely stay here again as it is very central and even has shops within the light complex

Room Tip: Spend a little extra for a superior stay

Our sister had her wedding here yesterday and everything was faultless. The staff were professional and friendly, all the areas that the wedding were in were set up beautifully, the food was scrummy and all in all we all had a fabulous day and evening.
Our bedroom was spacious with unusual fittings and a nice bath!
We are already planning another visit to Leeds and will definitely stay here

Not bad - but not brilliant, either, with a bit of a 'chain' feel to it. However, the position of the hotel, in relation to the shops and also (increasingly importantly) to the position of the excellent new concert arena (which is just up the road) makes up for most shortcomings. The staff were outstandingly helpful and friendly, too. You could definitely pick holes, if you wanted to (buffet breakfast swimming in fat, locked fridge in room etc) but overall, it was a pleasant experience and you couldn't want for a better position to explore the (many) attractions Leeds has to offer.

Stayed one night for business. Great location with very quiet courtyard facing rooms. Good service from reception staff. Room well equiped and furnished. Bathroom was both clean and new with high quality fittings. Not much to fault hotel on.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for my birthday, we booked it as it was a fairly cheap hotel in the city centre (bed & breakfast) near to what we wanted to do and see. When we got there we were asked what style of room we wanted (we picked the one the woman said had a walk in shower)! The room was lovely, flat screen television, huge room, comfy king size bed, mini fridge, desk/dressing table and the shower was one of the best I have had. The value for money here was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was lovely too with lots of different choices from cereals to breads to the usual English breakfast. All staff we spoke to were very friendly and helped us when we needed directions to the restaurant we were going to etc. All in all a lovely weekend and would definitely stay in another Radisson Blu hotel else where.

The rooms are a good size and the bed was nice and comfy for a good nights sleep. The location is perfect for a stay in Leeds too. That only makes it more frustrating that the negative points to this hotel are wholly avoidable but are the things that would make me pick a different hotel next time.
The bathroom needs some tlc, with a broken tap and a shower that's only setting was dribble providing an experience more akin to a Travelodge. On opening the minibar we were greeted by about 1/3 of the expected stock and the previous guest's half drunk bottle of wine. We asked for this to be tidied and restocked as we left for the evening and were told it would be sorted. Of course when we returned about 8 hours later it hadn't been touched.
The ice machine in the corridor was broken too, though ice was quickly provided to the room on request. Letting guests know things like this in advance rather than letting them traipse around the corridors would be simple and helpful. The TV also only had about 2 channels that worked, again only a minor blot but its the small things that add up. We made reception aware during our stay and on check out, they apologised and took details for the manager to call, which so far they have not done. It's all well and good building a beautiful hotel but if you're just going to ignore minor breakages and faults it'll soon become a place to avoid rather than relax in.
