Have been meaning to try this resteraunt for some time. Should have gone well before now, I booked the day before the staff were so accommodating On the phone and the evening of our meal. We didnt realise it was the evening of the mega buffet. We arrived at 6.15 and already the place was busy . We were shown to our table by a very polite attentive waiter ,who told us how the mega buffet worked. The food was great ,the staff were informative and attentive and also very pleasant. Will definitely be back again. Great value for money...... Just remember to take your own booze.

We have been going to the Masalla Hut for a number of years and never had a bad meal. The guys are really friendly and offer advice when asked about new additions to the menu. Food fantastic, service fantastic, value for money fantastic.

We've lived in Crossgates for five years and the area hasn't got a great deal to recommend it in terms of dining or boozing experiences... but this place is an utter diamond in the rough. Get your Tyskies or vino in Casa on Austhorpe Road and nip round the corner to the Masala Hut. They'll put your beer and wine in the fridge for you, crack the beers open one-by-one and bring them to your table with a winning smile. The place is small but perfectly formed, with the friendliest staff you could wish for and utterly sumptuous grub. My personal favourite is the chicken Afghani. It may not look much from the outside, but this is simply the best Indian restaurant in Leeds. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We visited 19/5 at tea time. Looked on Masla Hut website, Mega buffet was advertised at £7.95 per adult. Also as you approach the Hut there is a large banner on the building advertising it at £7.95 We were greeted by a pleasant enough guy who told us the price is £8.50 per adult! I enquired why different to the website he replied it hadn't been updated and produced a little mini sized menu showing the higher price. The Mega buffet isn't Mega at all, you have a choice of 5 mainstream curries. The chicken tikka was disappointing. A waiter brings naan bread and a small plate of rice. For 3 of us it wasnt enough, we had to ask for more. If you want chips you pay extra for them. You only have 1 plate to eat the different curries from. Not good. When the bill arrived it was more expensive than I expected, only by £4 but after feeling
duped by the price of the buffet and what it actually was I was now very wary. So when I questioned the bill the waiter advised I had been reading from the take away menu (the mini menu that was handed to me earlier) not the restaurant menu! The difference was for chips and soft drinks. I paid up and left feeling disappointed.
