“Confusing Title here - Meanwood Valley Trail? surely”

This can be taken in bitesize chunks or the whole thing - from Adel Beck rising at Cookridge Hall Golf Club all the way to it's outfall opposite the Royal Armouries.

Or you can hook into bits of it for a good walk or cycle.

The "URBAN" bit threw me - perhaps a confusion with MV Urban Farm.

There is a good walking and cycle route which takes you all the way into Leeds centre through a fantastic green corridor. Food stops at
Golden Acre Park
Monk Bridge Road (cafe at it's crossing) or Waitrose Cafe & Loos
Meanwood Valley Urban Farm
Town Centre

Scotland Wood is a beautiful dell and originally home to Scotland Mill (an important site in the development of textiles for Leeds).

There is a tunnel / underpass beneath the Ring Road, and then routes through the Hollies.
Or through Meanwood Grove connecting to Green Road.

The route is also popular with local running clubs.

Went on the trail yesterday, lots of sights to see and interesting to see how the landscape and buildings change throughout the walk. Once past Meanwood Park and into Adel Woods it isn't very well signposted at all and we got very lost and completely missed the Aquaduct which was a shame! Nice to end the walk at beautiful Golden Acre and have a well earned cup of tea! Lovely walk overall and would do it again and recommend - but you need a map (available on council website!)

In my view one of the better urban trails if you open your eyes and see what is around and read the history in the stones and the brick. There is a lot of crontrast here and one moment the leafy suburbs turn onto a place which gives you the impression you are miles from anywhere.

From Meanwood park I have walked with the dogs for hours along the trail. It's quiet and follows the stream for ages through the woods and then some. Brilliant.
